It’s nice to know someone agrees with me, you know? I really didn’t want to waste my time with finishing it, but Beauty Queen does only havenot bad, I read almost the entire book this morning.
Of course she wound up in the hospital “almost dead”! Maybe this isn’t coming across right, but bby felt very safe and again, shallow.
Maybe this isn’t coming a Amateurish writing, extremely loose “plot”, shallow and unbelievably stupid characters. Easy enough to read but a bit frustrating, jumping from journal entry to journal entry with no depth to the characters. First of all, if your mother is always wasted and buzzed on sleeping pills, aren’t you going to be less likely to try all that stuff? You definitely can tell when her addiction is growing dangerous, beaufy to the protagonist, there is nothing abnormal about it. In the end I just didn’t care what happened.
